Wendy’s and KFC Just Got Some Serious Competition

Growing up, there was always a big debate between my friends on which fast food chain had the best chicken nuggets or chicken sandwiches. There was even a chicken sandwich war on social media just a few years ago to determine which restaurant came on top.

In the past few years, fast food chains have been rolling out new menu items for fans to enjoy, including some form of saucy chicken nugget. The latest chain to join the race is Dave’s Hot Chicken. While it’s known for its Nashville-style hot chicken, Dave’s Hot Chicken just added a new item to its menu that’s coming for Wendy’s and KFC.

Dave’s Hot Chicken Just Launched New Saucy Bites and Ranch Dip

Dave’s Hot Chicken has just added a new item to its menu that’s bound to win over fans: Saucy Bites and Ranch Dip. The brand-new Chicken Bites are tossed in one of three sauces: Spicy Buffalo, Spicy BBQ, or Mike’s Hot Honey. And we can’t help but notice that they look just like Wendy’s Saucy Nuggs or KFC’s Saucy Nuggets.

To cool your mouth while adding even more flavor to each bite, the brand is introducing a Ranch dip and Dave’s signature Reaper Ranch, a spicy take on the classic sauce that fans have been begging for on social media.

“Dave’s Bites have been a huge hit with our guests since their introduction last year,” said CEO of Dave’s Hot Chicken, Bill Phelps, in the press release. “Since then, we’ve received thousands of social media messages asking us to toss our Bites in delicious sauces and to add Ranch. These new Saucy Bites with Ranch and Reaper Ranch demonstrate our ongoing commitment to offering the most craveable hot chicken anywhere, and also to listening to our guests to give them more of what they want.”

Food blogger SnachwithZach shared a video trying out the new menu items, which just made fans hungry for the Saucy Bites and Ranch dip. “Dave’s just changed the game with this,” one person commented.
