My Trader Joe’s store has mountains of these crisps right inside the doors, but I never paid much attention to the bags. However, after seeing all the buzz online, it was the first thing I picked up when I got to TJ’s this weekend. One thing to know about these crisps is that they are not easy to open. If you think you’ll rip open the bag and dig in on the way home, think again. Ultimately, I had to use a pair of scissors.

But once I took the first bite, all was forgiven. Based on appearance, I expected Cornbread Crisps to be really crunchy. Instead, they were more similar to a cracker. The reviewers who compared them to cornbread crust were spot on. If you’re a fan of the golden edges of skillet cornbread, these are a must-try.
