The 1-Ingredient Snack Celine Dion Is Absolutely Obsessed With

Sometimes it’s hard to believe that celebrities enjoy the same things we do, despite having access to the best restaurants and culinary minds around the world. For instance, Travis Kelce loves eating French toast, Paul McCartney enjoys his eggs with a side of thick-cut fries, and rising star Pedro Pascal loves to snack on Cap’n Crunch. It’s true, even superstars enjoy the simple things in life. 

In an interview with “CBS Mornings,” Gayle King asked Celine Dion what her favorite food was. As a French Canadian, I expected her to say Tarte au Sucre, Tourtière, or even poutine, but the singer’s response was so simple, it surprised me. It’s a snack that’s hiding in my cupboard (and I would bet yours, too) and is an inexpensive pantry staple. Plus, the star was so excited about the snack that she broke out in song.

Celine Dion’s Favorite Snack Is Peanut Butter

In the “CBS Mornings” segment, Gayle King asked the singer a series of rapid-fire questions designed to get a quick and real reaction. Some questions included her favorite song to perform live (“Courage”), the movies she could watch over and over (“Monsters Inc.”, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”), and what show she binge-watched (“Young Sheldon”).

But when it came to the question “What is your favorite meal?” the singer paused before answering. “It’s not really a meal, it’s [a] different thing,” admitted Dion. “I love peanut butter so bad.”

Viewers could tell she really meant it. So much so that she started singing “Peanut Butter Jelly Time!” Yes, Celine Dion—who has won over 200 awards from around the world and was given the highest honors in both Canada and France—belted out the novelty song from the early aughts.
