Starbucks fans generally fall into two categories. There are the ones who treat the coffee chain as part of their daily routine, know all the tricks to the Rewards Program, and tend to stick with their regular latte orders—that is, until the occasional new syrup launches.
And then there are the holiday drink loyalists. For this team, Starbucks doesn’t really exist until Pumpkin Spice Latte season officially kicks off (in August, no less). They’re not here for Protein Cold Foams or popping pearls. They’re here for the cozy, nostalgic winter drinks that have become staples of the holiday season.
Well, the time of year has officially arrived when both types of Starbucks fans find themselves standing in the same line. And this year’s holiday menu looks like it has something for both kinds of customers.
Starbucks’ Holiday 2025 Menu
Holiday drinks are back at Starbucks—officially hitting menus last week—and this year’s lineup is ready to bring all the holly, jolly flavor fans have been waiting for to the drive-thru.
Starbucks
Here’s a first look at the drink menu that launched Nov. 6:
- Peppermint Mocha: Featuring mocha sauce and peppermint syrup, finished with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls.
- Caramel Brulée Latte: Featuring caramel brulée sauce, topped with caramel brulée bits.
- Iced Sugar Cookie Latte: Featuring sugar cookie syrup, sprinkled with red and green topping.
- Iced Gingerbread Chai: Featuring warm chai spices with Gingerbread Cream Cold Foam and a pumpkin spice dusting.
If this list feels familiar, that’s because it looks very similar to last year’s (even though 2024’s Iced Sugar Cookie Latte and Iced Gingerbread Chai were only offered in almond milk and oat milk variations).
But there is one major change coming in 2025.
When last year’s holiday menu dropped online, fans were quick to notice a glaring omission. “No Eggnog Latte?” one fan asked. “Why did they get rid of the Eggnog Latte? It was my Christmas treat for travel,” another shared with a teary emoji.Â
Honestly, we felt the disappointment, too. Eggnog season is short as it is, and whether you’re hunting it down at Costco before it sells out or whipping up a homemade batch, every sip feels like holiday magic. So yes—the Eggnog Latte was right at the top of our wish list.
Starbucks’ Eggnog Latte Is Returning After 5 Years
Not only is the Chestnut Praline Latte back, but yes, the long-awaited Eggnog Latte is returning to menus. Last spotted in stores in 2020 and officially discontinued in 2021, Starbucks is finally bringing the latte back. It features espresso, steamed eggnog, and sprinkle of nutmeg on top—just like fans remember.
And, Starbucks is spreading even more cheer with a new iteration on the beloved eggnog drink: Eggnog Cream Cold Foam. The eggnog-infused cold foam can be added to iced coffee, cold brew, or any other cold drink.
Allrecipes got an early taste of the new and returning eggnog drinks to see if they live up to their reputation. Here’s our honest review.
My Honest Review of Starbucks’ Eggnog Latte and Eggnog Cream Cold Foam
Allrecipes/Courtney Kassel
I’m an eggnog lover, so it didn’t take a lot to convince me to like this drink. I never got a chance to try it when it was last in Starbucks cafĂ©s, so I can’t speak to how it compares to the last iteration, but I can say the Eggnog Latte that will be hitting menus soon is absolutely delicious. Warming and full of holiday spice, it’s a little richer than the typical latte, making it the perfect indulgent treat to remind you it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
The Eggnog Cream Cold Foam was also tasty, especially when mixed into cold brew, but there’s something about enjoying the flavor of eggnog warmed that just hits the spot. Whether you’ve been waiting for this moment for five years, or are (like me) new to the Eggnog Latte, I can guarantee it won’t disappoint.
While the holiday menu launched last week, the Eggnog Latte and Chestnut Praline Latte are set to launch on Dec. 2. It’s safe to say this season’s lineup is one to raise a red cup to.
