Pringles Is Bringing Back a Flavor for the First Time in 6 Years

These days, new food trends are popping up constantly, from freeze-dried candy to dirty soda. And we foodies love it when our favorite brands lead the charge to bring trendy foods, like Hot Honey Cheez-Its and Lindt Dubai Chocolate Bars, to the masses. However, there’s something even more exciting about those food brands hopping on a pop culture trend. 

Our food-themed Crocs collection is growing by the month, McDonald’s McDonaldland Meal collectible tins are hot on the resale market, and we’ve seen more “Group 7” fast food deals than we can count. 

Now, Pringles is releasing a new product that’s meant to rival one of the biggest pop culture phenomena since Beanie Babies and Cabbage Patch Kids: the Lababu. Lababu toys are small monster plushies created by the Chinese retailer, Pop Mart. Fans of all ages have found themselves collecting the adorably ugly monsters—that is, if they can find them, since Pop Mart hasn’t been able to keep up with the fierce demand.

But Pringles fans can rock a new kind of collectible bag charm—and, in our opinion, it’s even better than the knockoff Lafafu you can find at the dollar store. Pringles is releasing an all-new Once You Pop Mystery Box, complete with one of six collectible Pringamabobs toys, plus the returning Mystery Pringles flavor.

Pringles Brings Back Mystery Flavor in New Once You Pop Mystery Boxes

Following its internet-breaking Mystery Super Mario Pringles launch in Europe last year, Pringles is finally bringing its Mystery flavor back to the U.S. About six years ago, Pringles had a Mystery offering sold exclusively at Walgreens. Now, the secret flavor will be available exclusively in the Once You Pop Mystery Boxes.

The new Mystery Pringles will contain one of four existing Pringles flavors, masked for fans to test their taste buds. In addition to the crisps, each box will contain one of six collectible Pringles-inspired Pringamabobs toys.

The Pringamabobs include a Crispybara, Puptato, Duckalips, Crunchback Whale, Pringypus, and Snaxolotl (the rarest Pringles character).

Each Once You Pop Mystery Box contains one Mystery Pringles container and one mystery Pringamabob.

In honor of the brand’s new tagline, “Once You Pop, the Pop Don’t Stop” (a play on the ‘90s tagline, “Once You Pop, You Can’t Stop”), Pringles is launching its first online storefront, the Once You Pop Market, where fans can purchase a Once You Pop Mystery Box. The boxes will go on sale on the online market, as well as Pringles’ Instagram and Facebook shops, beginning Nov. 7 at 12 p.m. EST. 

If you can’t get your hands on one during the first drop, Pringles is releasing more Once You Pop Mystery Boxes on Nov. 14 and Nov. 21 at 12 p.m. EST.
