If there’s one thing we as a society are obsessed with now, it’s beverages. Plain old water will no longer do—and sometimes it seems like traditional soda won’t, either. While an iced cold Coca-Cola or Pepsi will always hit, we’re seeing the rise of “better-for-you” pops, flavorful sparkling waters, and metabolism-boosting energy drinks.Â
It’s not just sodas that are evolving, either—especially when Coca-Cola and Pepsi own so many other beverage brands. Gatorade recently released new hydration boost packs that promote relaxation, Vitaminwater launched beverages loaded with zinc and vitamin C, and now Powerade is releasing a new way to replenish electrolytes with its new Power Water.
Powerade Launches New Power Water

Powerade’s new Power Water is the brand’s first beverage innovation in more than five years. The electrolyte-enhanced, zero-sugar flavored water might remind you of PepsiCo’s Propel, but Powerade’s version has 50 percent more electrolytes than the Gatorade and Propel variety.Â
Powerade Power Water is launching in four flavors: Mountain Berry Blast, Strawberry Kiwi, Tropical Pineapple, and Watermelon. Each 20-fluid-ounce bottle boasts 520 milligrams of sodium and 150 milligrams of potassium to help rehydrate quickly.Â
It’s clear that Powerade is taking a big swing at Propel with similar flavors, but the flavored water is unlike anything the Coca-Cola Company has done before, including with its other brands, such as Bodyarmor and Vitaminwater.
“For decades, the enhanced water category has seen minimal competition and innovation Power Water changes that,” said Sabrina Niland, VP of Innovation, Strategy & Chief of Staff at Bodyarmor Sports Nutrition.
Powerade’s new Power Water is launching at select retail locations in October, where it will be sold in 20-ounce single bottles and 16.9-ounce six-packs. The brand will continue rolling out Power Water and its four flavors at retailers nationwide and on Amazon in 2026.
After these final few months of the year, we could all use a little extra hydration in 2026, right?
