Pop-Tarts Is Bringing Back the Limited-Edition Flavor Reviewers Call ‘Fantastic’

Pop-Tarts Frosted Apple Turnover Returns

Returning from last year’s fall lineup, Frosted Apple Turnover is officially making a comeback, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Especially right now, when we’re obsessed with all things apple—from Arby’s Apple Pie Shake to Costco’s Apple Fritter Donut Bites—it’s crazy good timing on Pop-Tarts’ part.

Each Frosted Apple Turnover treat features a classic crust filled with a gooey, apple-flavored filling. Plus, the pastries come topped with edible designs celebrating the best mascot moments from the Pop-Tarts Bowl, printed right on the frosting.

According to fans, this flavor stands apart from Pop-Tarts’ other apple varieties, like Frosted Apple Cinnamon or Apple Jacks. Reviewers describe the filling as a bright, green apple flavor that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tart—almost like biting into a real apple pastry.

“I think they are fantastic, especially lightly toasted. I’ve loaded up!” one fan shared in a review last season.

And to celebrate Frosted Apple Turnover’s return, Pop-Tarts is going big—literally. The brand is unveiling the World’s Largest Pop-Tarts Toaster Pastry next week in Kissimmee, Florida. 

So just how big are we talking? Pop-Tarts has pulled off some jaw-dropping displays over the years—who could forget the edible mascots from the past two Pop-Tarts Bowls? But this one promises to be even more mind-blowing, measuring over 950 times the size of the classic snack—that’s even bigger than a queen-sized mattress.

If you’re in the Florida area and want to take part in the supersized celebration, stop by the Walmart Supercenter in Kissimmee on November 8. The one-day-only event runs from 1–4 p.m. ET.
