Pillsbury Is Releasing a New Version of Its Most Popular Cookies

You’d better watch out because Santa Claus is coming to town in more ways than one this year. That’s right, he knows when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake, and he knows when you sneak into the kitchen to grab a late-night Pillsbury cookie right off of his plate. 

How? Because Santa and the Pillsbury Doughboy have teamed up this year in an all-new way.

Pillsbury is adding to its collection of iconic seasonal Shape cookies with a new one featuring Jolly Old Saint Nicholas himself. This holiday season, Pillsbury is releasing a new Santa Sugar Cookie Dough ready-to-bake Shape.

Pillsbury Launches New Santa Shape for the Holidays

Pillsbury’s seasonal sugar cookies, each with an adorable festive design, are one of the Doughboy’s most popular offerings. They’re so beloved that, this year, the brand is even introducing an Anthropologie-style drinking glass featuring the Snowman, Reindeer, and Christmas Tree cookies, perfect for Santa’s milk or your morning cup of iced coffee.

Since fans adore them so much, Pillsbury releases new versions of its cookies practically every season. Earlier this year, the brand launched a new Día de los Muertos-inspired Sugar Skull cookie, plus brought back its Halloween Spooky Cat Shape for the first time in a decade.

Now, as the holiday season begins, the Doughboy’s spirited creations are out of the mixing bowl and headed to the supermarket. This year, joining the iconic lineup of the Reindeer, Snowman, Christmas Tree, Grinch, and Buddy the Elf, you’ll find an all-new Santa cookie. 

The ready-to-bake sugar cookie features Santa’s jolly face imprinted on a pink cookie. Each package contains 20 pre-cut sugar cookies that bake into soft, sweet treats in just about 14 minutes. But, the sugar cookie dough is safe to eat raw, in case you can’t wait to dig in. 

Pillsbury’s new Santa Sugar Cookie Dough is rolling out to retailers nationwide, and Amazon Fresh, now, where it will be sold for a limited time through the holiday season. But, don’t worry, Pillsbury isn’t just skipping right to the holidays. You’ll still be able to find its Thanksgiving Turkey and fall football Shape, plus the new “Wicked: For Good” Shape cookies, at retailers for a few more months.
