Our Favorite Dollar Store Snack Just Launched a New Flavor—and We’re Buying 10 Bags

We are officially full steam ahead on the holiday season. While we aren’t forgetting about Thanksgiving altogether—like Subway’s Festive Feast Sandwiches or Oreo’s Thanksgiving Dinner Cookie Collection—the grocery store shelves are already filling up with new holiday treats and snacks. 

The holidays tend to be heavy on the sweets, with new cereals, hot chocolate mixes, candies, and cookies. And while that pretty much does check off every box in an elf’s diet, some of us wouldn’t mind a little salty, savory holiday bite every once in a while. 

But, this year, we’re willing to settle on a snack that’s both sweet and salty—honestly, because it’s just so darn delicious. Flipz, the makers of the packaged bite-sized chocolate-covered pretzels, has partnered with The Elf on the Shelf for an all-new flavor for the holidays.

Flipz Debuts New Sugar Cookie Covered Pretzels

The Elf on the Shelf has been on duty, watching over kids and reporting back to Santa, for 20 years. So, to honor the mischievous-yet-sweet Scout Elves, Flipz is releasing a sweet-and-salty snack inspired by one of The Boss’ favorite treats: cookies. 

The Santa-approved pretzels are coated in a sugar cookie-flavored white fudge and topped with colorful icing and sprinkles. Flipz’s new snack is crunchy, salty, sweet, and all-around festive, sold in a 6.5-ounce bag adorned with two adorable elves.

While the fudge-covered pretzels are sold at traditional retailers, such as Kroger, Albertsons, and Stop & Shop, you can also usually find them at the convenience or dollar store. Flipz’s fall Apple Cider Donut Covered Pretzels were found at Family Dollar, while its summertime Fried Cookie Covered Pretzels were spotted at Dollar Tree.

The new Flipz Elf on the Shelf Sugar Cookie Covered Pretzels will hit shelves at CVS and Family Dollar, where they’ll be sold for a limited time.

My Honest Review of Flipz’s New Elf on the Shelf Sugar Cookie Covered Pretzels

I tried Flipz’s new Sugar Cookie Covered Pretzels a few months back at the 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo. I’m already a sucker for chocolate-covered pretzels, but add vanilla sugar cookie-flavored fudge and a few sprinkles to the salty snack and I’m really hooked. 

I seriously couldn’t stop eating the Sugar Cookie Covered Pretzels. In fact, I was desperately searching for extra bags to bring home, to no avail, knowing I’d have to wait months to have them again. 

But, now that the time has finally come for the Flipz Sugar Cookie Covered Pretzels to hit shelves, I already plan on buying the entire rack—so, you might want to beat me to the dollar store.
