As a loyal Sam’s Club member, I’m never going to chalk my membership up to one item. In fact, it would be nearly impossible since I have so many products that I have to buy when I hit the club store. From everyday essentials, such as paper towels and pasta sauce, to special buys for holidays and parties, like a bakery cookie tray or cheese board, to a little treat from the cafe or sushi counter, my Sam’s Club membership is well-loved.
Of course, there are products that I get more excited to see on shelves than others. Not that a great deal on eggs doesn’t put a smile on my face, but there’s something about seeing a new bakery good that has me racing to add it to my buggy.
Recently, I saw an Instagram post announcing a product’s arrival that didn’t just have me racing to the snack aisle, but to Sam’s Club itself.
The Member’s Mark Chocolate Peppermint Almonds are officially back on shelves.

Why am I hopping in my car right now for a pack of almonds? Well, not only because they’re one of my favorite seasonal treats, but also because I thought they were discontinued.
I discovered these peppermint-flavored, chocolate-covered almonds during the 2023 holiday season, and quickly went through a bag. Luckily, I stocked up on a few more before the new year, knowing they’d have to last me until the following holiday season. To my dismay, the Chocolate Peppermint Almonds didn’t return last year, and I had assumed Sam’s Club discontinued its private label snack.
However, earlier this year, on a visit to Sam’s HQ in Bentonville, Ark., I spotted the almonds and learned that the club store hadn’t discontinued them after all. Instead, it was reformulating the recipe to adhere to its “Made Without” commitment, which promises to remove 40 ingredients, such as artificial flavors, aspartame, and synthetic food dyes, from all private label products by the end of 2025.
So, now the Member’s Mark Chocolate Peppermint Almonds are back on shelves with no artificial flavors or certified synthetic colors, meaning they’re made with things like natural vanilla and vegetable juice for coloring instead of dye.
But don’t worry: The almonds taste exactly the same. The Chocolate Peppermint Almonds still feature roasted almonds that are coated in a layer of dark chocolate, then a layer of white chocolate, and crushed candy cane pieces.
The 18-ounce bags cost $11.98 and, believe me, those 18 ounces go quickly. So, take my advice and buy two bags the first time because they’re the perfect bite of sweet, crunchy, and minty that you won’t be able to resist. And, as I learned the hard way, once they’re off shelves, you may never know when they’ll return.
