Krispy Kreme Has 4 New Doughnuts That Are ‘So Good, It’s Scary’

The Halloween season is quickly approaching, which means it’s time to pick out an ensemble for a costume party, stock up on candy for trick-or-treaters, and snack on all the new seasonal goodies, from Kit Kat’s new spooky shape to the mini Reese’s treat our editors can’t put down. 

And one brand that is notorious for mastering Halloween-inspired treats is Krispy Kreme. Fans of the doughnut chain know that it never fails to produce the most over-the-top seasonal items. And its new collection of Halloween doughnuts is the most spooky and spirited yet. As the brand’s press release stated, Krispy Kreme has unleashed new doughnuts “so good, it’s scary!”

And it’s more than just tricks this year. Krispy Kreme is also giving away free doughnuts this month—not once, but twice.

Krispy Kreme Introduces New Trick or Treat! Collection 

With the spooky season right around the corner, it’s time to indulge in all things Halloween, including the scary-good doughnuts Krispy Kreme just added to its menu. The chain’s new Trick or Treat! Collection comes in a custom Halloween-themed box with four all-new doughnut flavors.

If you’re looking to sweeten your fall festivities, you may want to consider trying out one (or all) of Krispy Kreme’s new doughnuts. Here are the flavor combinations for each creation: 

• The Candy Bag Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut, topped with chocolate-flavored buttercreme, a caramel-flavored swirl, and sprinkled with a trick-or-treat candy blend of mini chocolate candies. 
• Cookies and Skreme House Doughnut: A shell doughnut, filled with Cookies & Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing, and topped with crunchy chocolate cookies. It also features purple icing drizzled on top, accompanied by a spooky Haunted House piece.
• Jak-O-Lantern Doughnut: A festive shell doughnut with orange buttercream-flavored icing, a Jack-O-Lantern face piece, and a green icing stem. 
• Spooky Sprinkle Doughnut: Krispy Kreme’s iconic Original Glazed doughnut, dipped in a vibrant green icing and topped with Halloween sprinkles. 

“My message to everyone celebrating the Halloween season: Treat yourself to a dozen of our Trick or Treat! Doughnuts so you won’t be haunted by regret,” said Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme Chief Brand and Product Officer, in a press release. 

Krispy Kreme’s new collection is available now at the shop, for pickup, or delivery when using the chain’s app or website. Some of the doughnuts from the collection will also be available in a new Krispy Kreme 6-Pack, delivered fresh daily to select retailers and grocery stores.

But if you go in person to a Krispy Kreme shop, there are two ways to earn a free doughnut.

If you visit in costume on Saturday, Oct. 25, you can score a free Original Glazed Doughnut or Classic Ring Doughnut. No purchase necessary. And the same offer is also available on Friday, Oct. 31.—so don’t miss your chance to treat yourself on Halloween!
