Bob Evans Has a New Heat-And-Eat Side I’ll Be Passing off as Homemade All Season Long

Of course, I love discovering a way to hack my Thanksgiving turkey, or finding a store-bought dessert that will stun my guests at Christmas dinner. Bob Evans recently released a new product that is the best of both worlds. It’s the perfect side for simple dinners, and it’s tasty enough to pass off as homemade on your holiday table. 

Bob Evans Launches New Bacon Macaroni & Cheese

Bob Evans is expanding its lineup of the best-selling refrigerated macaroni and cheese with its new Bacon Macaroni & Cheese. You may know Bob Evans as the comfort food restaurant with down-home eats for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, the Ohio-based chain has a separate company sector dedicated to a variety of products, including sausage, hash browns, and sides (similar to how Cracker Barrel has its restaurant as well as a separate cheese business).

Bob Evans’ grocery brand might be best known for its mashed potatoes—even Ina Garten has admitted to passing them off as homemade on Thanksgiving. However, some of its other “Tasteful Sides” have cult-like followings, too, including the mac and cheese. 

Bob Evans’ new Bacon Macaroni & Cheese adds a savory, smoky flavor the beloved creamy, cheesy macaroni and cheese. The limited-edition product is made with real hickory-smoked bacon pieces and seasoned with black pepper, so all you have to do is heat and serve, and you’ll have the perfect side dish in minutes. 

The macaroni and cheese can be made in the microwave in just five minutes—or on the stovetop if you want to zhuzh it with veggies, seasoning, or even more cheese and bacon on top. 

Bob Evans’ new heat-and-eat Bacon Macaroni & Cheese is hitting retailers nationwide now, including Walmart, Kroger, Giant Eagle, Meijer, and more. The new flavor can be found in the refrigerated section, along with Bob Evans’ traditional Macaroni & Cheese and Six Cheese Pasta, for a limited time only.
