If the thought of pumpkin spice lattes hitting menus is making you groan, just think of it this way: The start of PSL season means the NFL season is just around the corner. With mere days until the Dallas Cowboys take on the defending Super Bowl champs, the Philadelphia Eagles, it might be time to start thinking about where you plan to watch the kickoff. And what better place than your neighborhood grill and bar, Applebee’s?Â
That’s right, Buffalo Wild Wings isn’t the only place you can enjoy a cold beer and a plate of wings on Sundays. In fact, Applebee’s is celebrating the start of football season—and its partnership with the NFL—by introducing a new appetizer sampler that’s perfect for game day.Â
Applebee’s is adding a new Ultimate Trio to its menu.
Applebee’s Introduces Ultimate Trio Appetizer Sample
Applebee’s
Applebee’s Classic Combo appetizer platter, complete with mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, quesadillas, and spinach and artichoke dip, has been a fan favorite for years. However, even though the wing flavor can be changed, the sampler has never offered many customizations. And, if the virality of Chili’s Triple Dipper has taught us anything, it’s that customers love to have options.Â
So, now, Applebee’s is introducing its version of the appetizer trio, which, according to a press release, has 81,600 possible customizations! The Ultimate Trio includes your choice of 10 appetizers, plus 10 sauces to choose from, including the Boneless Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Quesadilla, Crunchy Onion Rings, Chicken Wonton Tacos, Brew Pub Pretzels, Applebee’s Riblets, Double Crunch Shrimp, Waffle Fries, and Classic Fries. For sauce combos, you can pick from Classic Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Sweet Asian Chile, House-Made Ranch, Bleu Cheese, Honey Dijon Mustard, Marinara Sauce, Chipotle Lime Salsa, Cocktail Sauce, and Blue Moon White Cheddar Beer Cheese.Â
The Ultimate Trio is available now for dine-in, to-go, and delivery for $14.99.
Applebee’s Adds 5 New Drinks to Menus
Applebee’s
If a chilled beer on game day isn’t your scene, Applebee’s is also releasing five new drinks—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It’s expanding on its new Dirty Fountain Sodas, which allows customers to make any drink “dirty” by adding a creamy swirl for $1 more, with three new options: Cherry Charmed Pepsi, Passion Blue Dew, and Mango Dream Dew.Â
The Cherry Charmed Pepsi starts with a crisp Pepsi, which then gets grenadine, creamy swirl, whipped cream, and a cherry. Applebee’s Passion Blue Dew is made with Mountain Dew Dark Berry Bash, passionfruit, creamy swirl, whipped cream, and a cherry. Its Mango Dream Dew features regular Mountain Dew combined with mango flavors, creamy swirl, whipped cream, and a cherry.
The chain’s NFL drink specials are also back with two $6 Mucho cocktails. Applebee’s NFL Sips include a Juicy Sweep Sangria, made with Barefoot Moscato, Smirnoff Vodka, mango, orange, and pineapple juices, and a Rummin’ Back Daq, which is a hand-shaken daiquiri made with Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, triple sec, strawberry, and lime.Â
No matter if you’re there for the football or for the tasty food and drinks, everyone will be a winner on game day at Applebee’s.
