For many home cooks, the big-ticket item on our holiday wishlist usually includes the brand name “Le Creuset.” The heritage brand’s enameled cast iron products are some of our favorites. And, if we could, we’d have a rotating selection of Le Creuset Dutch ovens, braisers, and more colorful cookware to bring out during every season.
While a kitchen lined with Le Creuset is many home cooks’ dream, owning a piece from every collection—like the iconic pumpkin, new “Wicked”-themed, or beloved holiday-embossed Dutch ovens—would be incredibly pricey.
Luckily for us, our favorite German grocer has found a way to bring Le Creuset-level flair to budget-friendly cookware. So, you’ll never feel bad about buying a new Dutch oven again because you’re getting such a great deal at Aldi.
Aldi tends to offer quite a few Le Creuset copycat pieces, such as Dutch ovens, stockpots, braisers, and even pumpkin cocottes. This week, Aldi also brought back its copycat roaster, which usually sells out around the holidays—but that’s not all. For the first time, Aldi is releasing two new enameled cast iron cookware products that are embossed with holiday designs—just like Le Creuset’s beloved holiday collection.
Aldi’s New Merry Moments Holiday Cast Iron

On Nov. 12, the new Merry Moments 2-Quart Holiday Cast Iron Dutch Oven and 2-Quart Holiday Cast Iron Braiser hit the Aldi Finds aisle at stores nationwide—and they’re sure to sell out quickly.
The cast-iron Dutch oven is bright red with a stainless steel knob and a festive wreath design embossed on the lid. It also has a porcelain enamel interior and exterior for long-lasting, scratch-free use.
Aldi’s Merry Moments Dutch oven is two quarts, which is smaller than Le Creuset’s 4.5-quart Holly Collection Traditional Round Chef’s Oven, but still large enough for a batch of soup or a chicken bake. Le Crueset sells two-quart options of its classic Dutch ovens and says that those serve about two to three people.
Le Creuset’s holiday Dutch oven retails for $365, while Aldi is selling its version for just $23 this week. While the Le Creuset version is double the size of the Merry Moments Dutch oven, even Le Creuset’s two-quart option isn’t that cheap, retailing for $270 at Williams Sonoma.
Aldi’s Merry Moments Holiday Cast Iron Braiser is a green, two-quart braiser with the same stainless steel knob and wreath embossed design on the lid as the Dutch oven. Le Creuset isn’t actually selling a holiday-themed braiser this year, but Staub does have a similar one, which retails at Williams Sonoma for $200.
Aldi’s Merry Moments braiser is also priced at $23—meaning you could pick up both the braiser and Dutch oven at Aldi this week for less than the price of one Le Creuset or Staub holiday piece.
So, whether you’re shopping for yourself or someone on your holiday list, you’d better head to Aldi now because these steals won’t last long.
