We already know Aldi is the master of the name-brand copycat. From cheeses and butters to crackers and cookies, Aldi can surely give the name-brand competitors a run for their money. Best of all, shoppers get to enjoy similar (or sometimes better) products at a fraction of the cost. That’s a win-win in my book.
Currently, fans are obsessed with Aldi’s latest copycat product. It’s a take on the very popular Dot’s pretzels, known for its twisted shape, buttery texture, and finger-licking flavors. The brand, which is sold on Amazon Fresh, has garnered fans nationwide, starting from its North Dakota headquarters. However, the savory snack can be pricey at $7 for a 16-ounce bag—though prices may vary by region. That’s where this new Aldi copycat product comes in.Â
Aldi Introduces Clancy’s Homestyle Seasoned Pretzel Twists
Eagle-eyed Aldi shoppers have recently spotted bags of Clancy’s Homestyle Seasoned Pretzel Twists on the shelves of the bargain retailer—and they look awfully familiar.
The twisted pretzels are available in Original and Honey Mustard, though more flavors may come out down the line. The product is quite new—it’s not yet on the Aldi website or available through Instacart. But fans who have already tried the copycat pretzels are already singing its praises.Â
“I swear to everyone who asks, these pretzels definitely come off the same conveyor belt at the Dot’s factory, and Aldi sells them for a third of the price,” mentioned one fan. Another chimed in saying they tried the honey mustard pretzels, and they’re “SO GOOD! Very comparable to Dot’s, if not better.”
The pretzels have fooled many unsuspecting Dot’s fans, including this shopper’s children. “I think they taste just like the Dot’s, and I was able to ‘fool’ my kids,” they admitted. “They ate the whole bag in one day.”
Many social media users have remarked that the Aldi version’s flavor is less intense than Dot’s, which several actually enjoy. “I like them better than Dot’s,” said one Facebook user. “Just the right amount of seasoning, not overbearing.”
If you’re a fan of Dot’s, make a stop at Aldi to see if these copycat pretzels live up to the real deal. If you’re anything like these Aldi shoppers, you’re going to want to stock up!Â
