Aldi isn’t just a store where you get a good deal on groceries. Each week, the grocery chain releases Aldi Finds: seasonal, non-food items that are pretty irresistible—aka the “Aisle of Shame.”Â
Aldi Finds frequently include impressive copycats of beloved home brands, from Crate & Barrel to Cuisinart to Yeti. But there’s one major difference: Aldi’s version is always cheaper. One fan favorite is the store’s $50 KitchenAid mixer copycat, which we hope makes its return again this fall.
But while we wait, another fall favorite has returned to shelves this week. It’s less than $10 and looks just like an iconic autumn piece from Pottery Barn or Le Creuset.
Aldi’s Crofton Mini Pumpkin DishesÂ
Allrecipes / Aldi
Aldi is welcoming so many fall-themed items to its shelves this week. And the star of the show is the Crofton 2-Pack Mini Pumpkin Dishes. The tiny pumpkin-shaped casserole dishes, which come with lids, are available in a deep orange or elegant cream color.
These dishes are so similar to Pottery Barn’s Pumpkin Stoneware Lidded Bowls, though Aldi’s version has handles. But the set is nearly identical to Le Creuset’s Pumpkin Mini Cocottes, which are priced at a whopping $50 for a set of two. Aldi’s set is just $9.99. That’s one-fifth of the price!
You can use these dishes all season long—way beyond Halloween. Of course, they’d be perfect to serve pumpkin soup in, but if that’s not your jam, try other fall soups such as butternut squash, lentil, minestrone, or Thai pumpkin. They’d also be great for a hearty mac and cheese or chili.
Aldi shoppers on Reddit have other ideas, too, especially as decor. Fans love to use these little bowls for Halloween candy dishes.
Year after year, fans say they can’t resist picking up a set (or two). As an Aldi shopper in another Reddit thread said, “The Aisle of Shame beckons, and we all answer! Love these!”
Aldi can’t get enough of the pumpkin vibes this week. The chain also brought back a larger pumpkin casserole dish, as well as a pumpkin gravy boat and a pumpkin serving platter. As with all Aldi Finds, they’re only around for one week, so stock up before these seasonal items sell out again!
