It’s the most wonderful time of year at Aldi, the time we skip down the Aisle of Shame, adding budget-friendly items for holiday baking, cooking, and hosting with wild abandon. The Aisle of Shame (aka the Aldi Finds aisle) is where all the kitchen, homeware, and decorative items appear each week to entice us. And there’s no more enticing time to buy than the holidays, especially when they’re products that will serve us long past December.
Could you manage to chop the onions you need for Thanksgiving stuffing by hand instead of grabbing the $15 food chopper Aldi sold last week? Sure, but it will save time and come in handy over and over. If you grabbed the $50 stand mixer a couple of weeks ago that functions very similarly to the $300+ KitchenAid version, you’ll undoubtedly use it to make treats all year round.
This week, Aldi has a cast iron roasting pan that can cook everything you want on your holiday table—from Thanksgiving turkey or brisket to lasagna and mac and cheese—and it’s priced to sell out fast.
Aldi’s Crofton Cast Iron Roaster Is Back on Shelves
Aldi
If you love the look of Le Creuset enameled cast iron, then you’ll love Aldi’s new Crofton Cast Iron Roaster. It looks just like the Le Creuset Cousances Roasting Pan that retails for $185, but the Aldi version is just a fraction of the price at $29.99.
The Crofton Cast Iron Roaster is also almost identical in size to the Cousances pan. The biggest visual difference is that the Aldi version comes in two colors, Green Gradient or White (either would look great on a holiday table), while the Cousances roasting pan (which usually sells out around the holiday season) only comes in the red-orange hue, Flame. What else does the Crofton Cast Iron Roaster offer?
Since it’s cast iron with a porcelain enamel interior and exterior, the roaster has excellent heat retention and distribution. Its interior dimensions are 13.58 x 9.88 inches, and it’s oven-safe up to 482 degrees F. It’s also compatible with glass ceramic, glass, electric, and halogen cooktops, so you can take the turkey out of the roaster to rest and make your gravy with the pan drippings directly in the roasting pan. It even comes with a two-year warranty.
The Crofton Cast Iron Roaster is set to arrive in the Aldi Finds aisle on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and will be for sale for one week, or while supplies last. While you’re at Aldi this week, grabbing your $40 Thanksgiving meal, skip down the Finds aisle and grab this versatile cast iron roaster, too.
