With Halloween just around the corner, I’ve been reminiscing on my childhood trick-or-treating days. Aside from the fun that came with creative costumes, there was no denying that my sisters and I loved the free candy. My dad’s favorite has always been Snickers, and he always snuck a few from our stash when he thought we weren’t paying attention.
I don’t blame him for it. The nearly 100-year-old brand continues to be a hit, thanks to a decadent filling of caramel, roasted peanuts, and nougat. The chocolate bar is delicious, whether in its original form, the upgraded Xtreme version, or in fun, seasonal shapes like the new pumpkins for Halloween.
But recently, Snickers has gone beyond the candy bar, releasing limited-edition sauces to iced coffee to a hot chocolate mix. And one of the best riffs on the iconic confection is the Snickers Ice Cream Bar, which has been released in an original and dark chocolate version.
But now, there’s a new flavor coming—and it was worth the wait.

Another delicious Snickers Ice Cream Bar is finally on the way: Snickers Crunchy Peanut Butter Ice Cream Bar. It stays pretty close to the original frozen treat with a layer of luscious peanut butter ice cream, silky caramel, and crunchy peanuts.
However, the difference is in the added texture and extra crunch from even more peanuts. Not only are there peanuts studded throughout the treat, but you’ll also find plenty embedded in the bar’s chocolate shell itself.
The new ice cream bar was announced at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show Expo, along with a slew of other tasty treats in the works from candy giant Mars, Inc. According to a press release from Mars, the company holds “the top selling frozen novelty items in convenience stores with Snickers and Twix Ice Cream Bars.”
“This new lineup is a testament to our commitment to deliver snacking experiences that fit into the fast-paced lives of today’s consumers,” said Tim Lebel, President of Sales for Mars Wrigley North America, in the release.
While there isn’t an official release date yet, the Snickers Crunchy Peanut Butter Ice Cream Bar is slated to hit the freezer aisle in 2026. While you wait, hit up your grocery store for one of the other flavors that are already available, or get creative by making some Snickers-inspired treats at home, such as our No-Bake Snickers Pie or our Vegan Snickers Ice Cream.
