Now, a new sweet bakery item is already stealing the hearts of Trader Joe’s fans. Perfect for cookie swaps, office parties, or “just because,” shoppers are stocking up on this seasonal treat, as it captures multiple flavors of the holiday season in one decadent bite.

Trader Joe’s Debuts New Peppermint Brookie

Trader Joe’s has had several variations of a brookie (a hybrid of brownies and cookies that becomes one incredible dessert bar) in the past, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, and even brookies in caramel candy cluster form. Now, TJ’s is introducing its limited-time holiday version: the Peppermint Brookie.

The bottom layer is a rich, cocoa brownie. Atop it is a peppermint-flavored sugar cookie that has white peppermint chips throughout. The layered dessert is like the bakery version of a peppermint hot chocolate—but with the added richness of sugar cookie dough. In short, it sounds absolutely delicious. And TJ’s shoppers on Reddit agree.

“I ate half the tray yesterday on my day off,” said one Redditor. “Super good!”

Another Redditor said that the peppermint sugar cookie was soft, squishy, and “complements the brownie part so well!”

Others chimed in to share just how much they’re looking forward to enjoying this seasonal bakery item. “Oh, that sounds so good! I got the regular brookies last time I was there and they were delicious.” And for peppermint dessert fans, it’s a must. “I’m a sucker for anything mint. Literally drooling,” added another Redditor.

Peppermint Brookies are available in packages of eight pre-sliced bars, and each pack is priced at $4.99. You can find it in the sweets section of the Trader Joe’s bakery area.

These new bars would make a great addition to any cookie plate or dessert spread this holiday season. Heck, it may just be the kind of treat you want to pass off as homemade—we won’t tell!
