Cheez-It may have the most unhinged snack this holiday season, but Goldfish just released the most nostalgic bite. And isn’t that what this time of year is all about? After dropping the most heart-warming collab with Snoopy earlier this fall, Goldfish is back with another iconic character from my childhood.
It’s a beloved franchise that’s a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade mainstay. And while I didn’t necessarily need a matching snack to go with my parade-watching TV time on Thanksgiving morning, I am nothing but committed to the bit. So, now I have to add this to my cart this week.
New Goldfish Pokémon Crackers Available for a Limited Time
Goldfish is no stranger to novelty shapes. This year, we’ve seen the fish that smiles back share the spotlight with Mickey Mouse, Harry Potter, and now Pokémon.
The new Goldfish Pokémon crackers are a ’90s kid’s dream, as the limited-edition snack is all about that lovable, electrical diva: Pikachu. These days, you’ll catch Pikachu and Eevee riding a balloon sled in the big parade. But, for me, I remember the giant Pikachu balloon with the coordinating Poké Ball. And this new blend is kind of like an homage to that.
Goldfish Pokémon crackers feature the classic Cheddar cheese flavor you know and love, and while there are the standard fish, you’ll also find both Pikachu and Poké Ball-shaped crackers in this special bag. And fans say Pokémon “did good” with the new collab.
On Instagram, Pokémon collector @pinky.pogo spotted the new themed bag in the snack aisle, sharing, “Well, Pokémon, you did good.” They also added that the limited-edition bag “will not be kept sealed.”
Fellow fans jumped into the comments with excitement. “The cravings have been sparked,” someone said. “I could go for a handful of those right now,” another chimed in.
“I just got two!” someone else exclaimed. “One to eat and one to keep. Let’s go!”
The new Goldfish Pokémon crackers are rolling out across the U.S. now, with a suggested price of $3.69. So, keep your eyes peeled at your grocery store or on Amazon Fresh. As with many of Goldfish’s special releases, these are only available for a limited time. Better brush up on those grounding moves and shadow tags if you want to snag this electrifying snack.
