In my house, we’re serious about cookie making. Browned butter in chocolate chip cookies is non-negotiable, and if you’re making a soft, frosted sugar cookie à la Crumbl, the more almond extract the better.
But toward the end of the year, I like to slow down and utilize store-bought shortcuts that give me more time with family. I love knowing I can rely on brands like Pillsbury for decadent bakery-sized cookies and festive designs that the whole family will love.
Recently, we learned that a Pillsbury fan-favorite cookie dough roll is headed back to stores, and if you love all things Reese’s, you won’t want to miss this.
Pillsbury Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Returns
Pillsbury Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough chubs are back and ready to serve all of your baking needs. The soft dough features real Reese’s peanut butter in a convenient, premade roll that makes dessert a breeze.

You can snag this flavor for ready-to-bake refrigerated cookies, but we love that the roll allows you even more room to flex your creativity. You can shape it into balls and press with a sugar-covered fork to give each cookie the iconic crisscross pattern. Alternatively, you can top with a Rolo or a cinnamon and sugar-flavored Hershey’s Kiss for a batch worthy of holiday cookie exchanges. Each roll contains about 26 servings, so there will be plenty to go around.
You can also use this dough to make an easy cookie cake fit for any celebration. According to Pillsbury, all you have to do is press the dough out into a 12-inch round on a baking sheet or pizza pan lined with parchment paper. Then, pop it into the oven for 15 to 18 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until cooked through and golden at the edges. After it cools, you can add a custom message, pipe swirls of chocolate frosting around the edges, and add sprinkles or chopped Reese’s cups as garnish.
It’s no wonder fans call this product their “favorite of all the cookie flavors!”
And if you’re one to sneak a taste while making cookies, don’t worry. Pillsbury’s peanut butter cookie dough is safe to eat straight from the refrigerator. This edible cookie dough is made with heat-treated flour and pasteurized eggs, which is indicated by the “safe to eat raw” label, so you can snack without worry.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough is available alongside Pillsbury’s other seasonal cookie chubs, including Sugar Cookie and Gingerbread, in the refrigerated dough section at the grocery store. And don’t miss Pillsbury’s new Santa Shape Sugar Cookies and returning Grands Hot Cocoa-Flavored Rolls, which are on shelves now for the season.
