Dunkin’ Has a New, Unexpected Treat on Grocery Store Shelves

Every year, brands roll out seasonal products inspired by classic holiday flavors like gingerbread, hot cocoa, peppermint, and eggnog. These limited-time sweet treats make your stocking stuffers—and snack drawer—a little merrier this time of year. Picking up a few of your favorite festive releases is a great way to enjoy the cozy flavors of the season without having to make a batch of eggnog, holiday cookies, or gingerbread fudge yourself. Just stop by your local grocery store, coffee shop, or fast-food joint instead.

The latest seasonal release that caught our eye came from an unexpected brand: Dunkin’. And no, it’s not one of the brand’s seasonal coffee drinks—though it was inspired by one. This holiday season, Dunkin’ added a Cookie Butter Cloud Latte, featuring warm brown sugar and cookie flavors with a cookie butter-flavored cold foam, all topped with crumbled speculoos cookies. The brand’s newest release takes inspiration from that delightful holiday drink, but makes it even sweeter.

Dunkin’ Introduces New Cookie Butter Creme-Filled Chocolate Santa

Dunkin’ and Frankford Candy—the company behind many of your favorite limited-time brand collaborations—teamed up to create this festive chocolate treat that should be in every coffee lover’s stocking this year. These Dunkin’ Chocolate Santas boast a rich cookie butter creme and smooth milk chocolate for a “melt-in-your-mouth experience.”

These individually wrapped treats feature the cutest little Santa ever, and unlike a few other brands, it’s not just on the packaging. The filled chocolate is molded into the Santa design, making it great for a cake or hot chocolate topper, too.

“How cute is that Santa?” wrote one Instagram user.  

This seasonal treat has been spotted (so far) at Dollar General, Walmart, and Five Below. It sells for $1 at Walmart, and $1.50 at Five Below, but prices may vary by store. Load up on a few of these darling chocolates and keep them handy this holiday season, because they make a great last-minute gift for teachers, co-workers, or the chocolate fiends in your life. 

One Instagram user said they tasted a “hint of gingerbread” in addition to the cookie butter flavor, and called the filling “delicious.” Another user chimed in saying, “These are sooooo good.”

This festive candy is only available for a limited time, so if it looks like something you want to gift (or keep on hand for yourself), stop at your local Walmart or check online to see if your Five Below or Dollar General has them in stock. It’s the perfect sweet touch for the holiday season.
