Last year, Barilla introduced a festive new holiday pasta: Snowfall Shapes. And just in time for the holiday season, the fan favorite is making a comeback.

No, it’s not a traditional Italian cut, but it’s undeniably adorable. Similar to Rotelle (the wagon wheels), Snowfall Shapes feature a short, round design and spoke-like details that make them fun and interesting to eat. Plus, all those crevices serve as a clever hiding place for little pockets of sauce, making every bite of pasta all the more flavorful. 

The design also captures the spirit of the season. As Barilla shared last year, the shapes symbolize tradition, joy, and love: The classic snowflake stands for tradition, the poinsettia-like design represents joy, and the heart-centered snowflake embodies love.

Fans aren’t just charmed by the wintry design—they love the taste, too. Since its debut, the pasta has earned over 400 five-star reviews on Walmart’s website, with shoppers saying the “texture is always perfect” and the “flavor is authentic.”

Now that it’s back, fans are “thrilled to find” it on shelves once again.

“I like to add it to soups, chili, and one-pot meals, as well as serving it alone with our favorite pasta sauce,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s delicious and my favorite pasta shape! Gotta love those cute lil’ snowflakes!”

Last year, Snowfall Shapes were available exclusively at Walmart, but this season, they’ve already been spotted at ShopRite and on Amazon Fresh. So we have our fingers crossed for a wider release this time around.
