Around this time every year, fun holiday treats appear in stores, giving us plenty to look forward to throughout the season. And while we appreciate brand-new festive items to get us in the spirit, we can’t help but enjoy a good holiday comeback. Costco’s latest returning sweet treat is one we are incredibly excited to get our hands on.

Costco’s Kirkland Signature Peppermint Bark Is Back

Just as the holiday season officially kicks off, Costco has brought back its Kirkland Signature Peppermint Bark, a fan favorite for many shoppers (including many Allrecipes staffers). The popular holiday bark includes white and dark chocolate coated in crushed peppermint candy for a sweet and minty taste, with a whopping 21-ounce container ringing in at $16.99.

It’s worth noting that the price is up a bit from $14.99 last year and $9.99 just two years ago. It comes as no surprise, seeing as chocolate prices have risen significantly in 2025. Still, the Costco version is a steal compared to Williams Sonoma’s Peppermint Bark, which retails for $35 for just one pound.

On Instagram last year, @costcohotfinds posted about the candy, raving about its layers of high-quality white and dark chocolate, as well as its soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture. “It is the best,” she shared.

Fans in the comments were also thrilled to see the classic candy back in the Costco bakery, saying, “I love these,” “Soooo goooood,” and, “They’re dangerous.”

And, the bark’s popularity isn’t new. In a past Reddit thread, one user said, “The Kirkland brand peppermint bark in the bakery is absolutely fire…way better than the individually wrapped Ghirardelli peppermint bark.” Others claim it’s “the best part of the holidays!”

Best of all, it has a homemade feel and flavor—so you can gift it, add it to cookie platters, or serve it to guests as if it came right out of your own kitchen. While we love all kinds of festive desserts, there’s a special place in our hearts for store-bought shortcuts, and the Costco bakery Peppermint Bark is one of our absolute favorites. Finally, the decadent chocolate treat is back and ready to be dunked in our mugs of hot cocoa once again.
