When I’m in the kitchen, especially during the holidays, I like to set the mood with some music. Old-school crooners like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett have a way of making those comfort dishes feel extra cozy. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Michael Bublé. When the temperatures drop and the holidays roll around, music from the Grammy award-winning singer just hits the spot.

While being serenaded, my mind often starts to wonder what brings stars like Michael Bublé comfort during the holidays. Luckily, Allrecipes got a chance to ask him, and in the process, I learned that Bublé has a fondness for one Thanksgiving side in particular, which he calls “completely underrated.”

Michael Bublé’s Favorite Holiday Dishes

In a recent interview with Allrecipes, Bublé played a round of “Underrated or Overrated?,” rating all the typical holiday dishes. There were some special callouts for his favorites—like mashed potatoes with either his mother’s or wife’s gravy; egg nog, both in his coffee and his French toast; and pumpkin pie, which Bublé calls his “favorite all-time pie.” We even learned Bublé is a hard pass on green bean casserole; “Completely overrated. Garbage. I don’t want any of that.”

But one thing in the interview took us by surprise: his appreciation for stuffing, and not the fancy stuffing served at restaurants or even homemade. No, Bublé prefers the boxed kind!

“Stuffing—completely underrated,” Bublé declared. “But I’m a man who doesn’t like fancy stuffing. Give me Stovetop Stuffing, extra gravy.” He even asks if Stovetop Stuffing is just as popular in the U.S. as it is in his native Canada and I am happy to report that yes, it is indeed just as beloved here.

Tune in to see Bublé’s third season as a coach on “The Voice,” which airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
