Pasta is usually one of my go-to meals when I’m craving something comforting. Whether I’m making a childhood classic like my grandma’s Parmesan buttered noodles, or opting for my signature penne alla vodka, I’m a pasta lover, through and through.
The convenience of store-bought, perfectly cooked pasta has become particularly appealing to me as a young adult, and I’m always looking for new kinds to try. Aldi’s filled tortellini are an automatic purchase when I come across them, and I have fond memories of my mom serving up spinach ravioli from Costco on busy school nights.Â
So it goes without saying that the newest pasta to hit the shelves at Trader Joe’s is already on my shopping list, and I’m not the only one excited to give it a try.Â

Your average ravioli gets an elegant upgrade with this Trader Joe’s find. The new Goat Cheese & Caramelized Onion Ravioli are a mouthwatering option for when you want a fancier meal with minimal effort.
With just five minutes of cooking required, you’ll have delicately tender pasta stuffed with sweet caramelized onions and tangy goat cheese. And according to Trader Joe’s, the ravioli are made by an experienced pasta expert in Italy, meaning the quality is evident in every bite.
The raviolis have made quite an impression on Trader Joe’s fans already. A recent Reddit post is full of chatter surrounding the pasta, with fans asking, “Where have you been all my life, goat cheese and caramelized onion raviolis?”
Many shoppers chimed in to share their favorite ways of serving them, with one writing, “Loved these! Had them with spinach sautéed in garlic, EVOO, parm, and balsamic glaze.” “I made a pesto cream sauce that I used on these and it was heavenly,” said another commenter.
One compared the filled pasta to pierogis, serving them in a similar fashion to the Polish dumplings; “I did butter and a dollop of sour cream, these remind me of pierogis. Really good.”
And another fan even pointed out that they excel where other Trader Joe’s ravioli fall flat, raving, “They were delicious. Browned butter and fresh Parmesan on top. Yum! Best of all: not a single one opened during cooking, unlike other TJ ravioli.”
For those who might be worried that the ravioli are a seasonal find, one shopper in the thread shared that it’s likely a permanent addition: “According to my cashier the other day, they will be a regular item and not seasonal!”
Each pack of Goat Cheese & Caramelized Onion Ravioli contains about three servings of pasta and costs about $3.99, which is quite the bargain. Head to your local Trader Joe’s to pick up a pack for an easy and flavorful fall dinner, but hurry before I clear the shelves first!
