Skittles Has a New, Limited-Edition Product—and Fans Are Already Obsessed

When it comes to candy, I’ll never be one to turn down a handful of Skittles. It’s fruity and sweet, with just the right amount of chew. The colorful candy comes in vibrant flavors such as orange, lemon, lime, grape, and more, inviting fans to “taste the rainbow.”

However, that’s not the only way to enjoy Skittles. From crunchy freeze-dried candy to gummies and even a partnership with a fast food chain for a Skittles-packed frozen dessert, the brand has consistently demonstrated that there are many different ways to savor its sweet and tangy candy.

And now, with the release of the second part of the musical-turned-movie “Wicked” right around the corner, Skittles is bringing back a fan-favorite flavor in a new “Wicked”-inspired packaging.

Skittles Releases Sour Wild Berry Candy in Wicked Packaging 

With less than a month to go before “Wicked: For Good” hits theaters on Nov. 21, Skittles is celebrating the release by bringing back Sour Wild Berry Skittles in a new, limited-edition Wicked packaging. The latest product features five zippy, mouth-puckering flavors: Sour Strawberry, Sour Melonberry, Sour Raspberry, Sour Berry Punch, and Sour Wild Cherry. 

Sour Wild Berry Skittles were first introduced in 2019 as a Dollar General exclusive. Fortunately for us, the new Wicked release appears to have a wider distribution, as shoppers have already spotted it on shelves at Circle K, 7-Eleven, Walmart, and other major retailers.

To say fans are thrilled is an understatement. All over social media, fans are celebrating the candy’s return.

“Wild berries are my favorite, and I love sour !! THANK YOU for sharing this !!” someone shared on Reddit. Another fan pleaded, “I need them to make it a permanent thing!”

“Loved this flavor,” another fan shared on Instagram. “And with Wicked packaging, even better.”

Considering how much fans love this variation on the OG Skittle, and because this is a limited-edition drop, you’ll want to stock up well before Elphaba and Glinda return to the screen next month.
