When hosting, it’s often the smallest details that make the biggest impact. Fresh flowers, thoughtful decor, or a well-curated playlist can instantly bring an event to life. But my favorite finishing touches are always edible. A signature cocktail, a favorite dessert, or a flavorful appetizer adds a cheerful—and delicious—element to any gathering.

And there’s a new festive product headed to the dairy aisle that’s sure to add a touch of whimsy to your holiday table. You know that turkey-shaped butter that comes out around Thanksgiving? Or the lamb-shaped butter that hits shelves just in time for Easter? There’s a new holiday version coming to grocery stores, and it’s absolutely darling.

Plus, it’s made with a chef-approved butter that is creamy, dreamy, and oh-so delicious.

Challenge Butter Introduces New Snowflake Butter

Challenge Butter

Challenge Butter, a farmer-owned butter brand from California, is introducing a new snowflake-shaped butter perfect for adding a touch of winter magic to any celebration this holiday season. The four-ounce molded butter is sold in a rigid, food-grade plastic insert that preserves the design, and each snowflake uses the brand’s Salted Butter, which is made of 100% rBST-free cow milk.

“Holiday gatherings remind us that the best moments happen around the table,” said Priya Kumar, Vice President of Marketing for Challenge Dairy, in a press release. “People are looking for convenient yet thoughtful ways to elevate everyday moments, and our new Snowflake Butter does just that by blending creativity with a beautiful presentation for one of the season’s most beloved staples.”

Each snowflake has a suggested retail priced of $4.99. Grocers, including Albertsons, Meijer, Kroger, Gelson’s, and Woodman’s, as well as other retailers, like Amazon, will stock this butter soon. And there are plans for wider distribution in November.

So, if you’re hosting, or looking for a festive host gift, pick up one of these butter snowflakes. Or pair it with a cute butter plate and a knife, and you’ll have the prettiest (and tastiest) centerpiece ever.
