Costco Just Brought Back a Holiday Find That ‘Sold Out in a Week’

Walking into Costco this time of year feels a little like being a kid on Christmas morning. The shelves are overflowing with festive treats—from a new dessert bar tray to the showstopping chocolate fudge cake—and that’s before you even get to all the pumpkin-flavored favorites.

Many fun seasonal treats come out to play during the holidays, but others that are available year-round somehow shine even brighter this time of year. And right now, one classic cookie is bringing the holiday spirit in full force—thanks to a little help from the Grinch.

Costco Launches New Grinch Holiday Cookie Jars

The Grinch is up to his old tricks again, only this time, he’s not just stealing Christmas from Whoville. He’s stealing the spotlight in Costco’s newest holiday find: Grinch Holiday Cookie Jars.

The festive jar features the notorious green troublemaker wearing his signature Santa hat and “a smile most unpleasant.” But while the Grinch on the outside might steal your attention, it’s what’s inside that will make your heart grow three sizes: Piroulines.

The iconic swirled cookie straws are a holiday favorite—light, crisp, and just sweet enough to enjoy with your afternoon coffee or a mug of hot cocoa. And just when we thought we couldn’t be more tempted to add them to our cart, this collectible jar made the decision even easier.

“OMG those wafer cookies with coffee [are] DIVINE,” one fan shared. “Not to mention the cookie jar is beyond adorable.”

We’re loving this trend of seeing our favorite holiday characters come to life alongside our go-to festive snacks. Snoopy just showed up on Peppermint Cocoa Grahams, the Peanuts Gang is starring on limited-edition Chex cereal boxes, and even Kevin Kevin McCallister is making a comeback on International Delight creamer bottles. So really, it was only a matter of time before the Grinch showed up on grocery shelves, too.

According to fans, the Grinch cookie jars first appeared in select California Costco locations last season and are now making their way back for another run. It’s still unclear if they’ll be regional again this year or roll out to more stores, but shoppers have their fingers crossed.

“I got mine and they were sold out in a week,” one customer reported last year.

So, when people do spot them, they know not to hesitate. “I bought it today. It’s even cuter in person,” one shopper wrote. “Things I don’t need but I NEED ASAP!!!!” another added.

Between the collectible jar, the classic Pirouline cookies, and the pure nostalgia, this is one of those finds that’s hard to pass up. He may try his best, but not even the Grinch can stop Christmas cheer from spreading at Costco.
