As a kitchen writer, I spend multiple hours each week scouring the internet for good cooking deals. It’s exciting to find a big discount on popular items, but it’s even more exciting to find savings on items I love and use in my own kitchen, because then I can recommend them to you.Â
While browsing through Amazon’s October Prime Day deals, I found several discounts on items that I swear by. In fact, one kitchen appliance I use at least twice a day is half off! I’ve also included some items that I might purchase for myself.Â

Keurig K-Mini Plus Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker
Amazon
Let’s start off with what might be my favorite appliance ever: the Keurig K-Mini. I use my single-serve coffee maker at least twice a day (sometimes more). It’s a slim, compact machine that doesn’t dominate my counter and is incredibly easy to use. Pour a mug of water in the well, insert your favorite K-Cup coffee pod, and hit the button—one minute later, you’ll have a piping hot drink. I’m not the only one who adores the K-Mini; our Allrecipes Allstars also recommend the coffee maker. The Keurig K-Mini comes in an array of fun colors; mine’s cherry red, but this light blue version is half off for Amazon Prime Day.Â
KitchenAid Citrus Juice Press Squeeze
Amazon
I’m not being hyperbolic when I say that a citrus squeezer revolutionized how I cook. I used to cut a lemon in half and squeeze it by hand, but that dropped a lot of seeds into my food and left a lot of juice in the fruit. If you love the zing of fresh lemon or lime juice in your cooking, I highly recommend this deal. KitchenAid’s clever citrus squeezer has a stainless steel press, a strainer to catch seeds, and a pour spout. It’s a steal at 55 percent off.Â
Ninja AF101 4-Quart Air Fryer
Amazon
I don’t think my oven has ever once worked correctly. It’s been a big pain in the neck ever since I moved in. Tired of my complaints, my mom got me a Ninja air fryer for Christmas. I adore the 4-quart machine and use it several times a week to cook chicken dinners, reheat leftover pizza, and make crispy side dishes. The Ninja AF101 is straightforward, with four presets and easily adjustable temperature and timer settings. It’s also a favorite of an Allstar who owns (and uses) four different air fryers.Â
OXO Good Grips 3-Piece Pop Container Set
Amazon
For years, I’d stick open bags of flour or cane sugar into a big Ziploc bag to try and cut down on messes. It rarely worked well. Instead of continuing to wrestle with flimsy flour bags, I upgraded and got the OXO Pop containers. The pop-top food storage containers have a lot going for them; they’re airtight, easy to open and fill, and help me clearly see how much sugar remains. This set is one of my favorite recent kitchen purchases.Â
GreenLife Nonstick 2-Piece Frying Pan Set
Amazon
I’m a fairly frugal person with a smaller kitchen, so I thought I only needed one frying pan, even though it did seem silly to make a single scrambled egg in a big 12-inch frying pan. I finally caved and bought a small 8-inch pan on sale, and I’m never going back to the single skillet life. This set from GreenLife includes a 9.5- and 11-inch frying pan, now $15 per skillet. They’re nonstick and have beautiful wooden handles that remain cool to the touch. Now, I don’t have to haul out my big pan for smaller tasks, and I can cook on two burners if I’m making a bigger meal.
KitchenAid 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer
Amazon
Let’s swap over to kitchen deals that I’m considering for myself. I desperately need to upgrade my ancient, rusting hand mixer. KitchenAid’s sleek 5-speed mixer caught my eye right away. It has simple controls, a soft handle, and two dishwasher-safe beaters. Plus, we tested the machine and loved the variable speeds and lightweight feel.Â
Lodge 4.5-Quart Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven
Amazon
For someone who writes a lot about Dutch ovens, I don’t actually own one myself. Yet. Lodge’s 4.5-quart enameled pot seems like a good fit to me. It’s large enough to make multiple servings but small enough to store, has two helper handles on the side, and has a stunning enamel finish. I’m already dreaming about the beef stew and mulled wine I’ll make.Â
Magic Bullet 7-Piece Blender Set
Amazon
To avoid food waste, I throw wilting spinach or bruised bananas in a blender to make a tasty smoothie. However, my blender is big, heavy, stored in the very back of my kitchen cabinets. I’m considering getting a Magic Bullet for quick single-serve smoothies. The personal blender is a classic, one that our Allstars appreciate for its compact nature and quick results. Plus, the 7-piece set is 44 percent off, which is an added perk.Â
JoyJolt 12-Piece Glass Storage Containers
Amazon
I prefer glass storage containers to plastic. Glass is durable, sturdy, and typically safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher. Since I need a new glass container set, I’m looking at this 12-piece collection from JoyJolt. It has a nice variety of sizes and shapes, complete with secure snap-top lids. With this set, I could store a big helping of spaghetti bolognese and a small serving of yogurt with granola.Â
Hamilton Beach Food Processor and Vegetable Chopper
Amazon
When I interviewed the Allrecipes Allstars about their favorite kitchen tools, one was so enthusiastic about his food processor that he single-handedly convinced me to get one. Hamilton Beach’s food processor has an 8-cup capacity, a wide feed chute for adding ingredients, and a simple 2-speed control dial. It also has two interchangeable attachments—one for slicing or shredding and another for mixing and purĂ©eing. During Amazon Prime Day, the machine is 47 percent off.Â
