Despite the fact that we’ve been able to buy pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider doughnuts since July and August, fall has only just *officially* begun. And with just a little over a month to go before the trick-or-treaters arrive, we hope you aren’t sick of Halloween candy already.

However, thanks to all the delicious launches this year—from Reese’s Mini Unwrapped Pumpkins to Crunch White—we’re pretty sure you’re not tired of seeing new treats in the candy aisle. And, while a Halloween launch in September might feel late to the party, Ghirardelli’s new seasonal treats were certainly worth the wait.

Ghirardelli is releasing its first-ever shaped candy with an all-new release for Halloween.

Ghirardelli Releases Its First-Ever Seasonal Shape

Sorry, Reese’s, but there’s a new chocolate pumpkin in town—and these ones are even bigger, with real carved designs etched into each chocolate. Ghirardelli’s Jack O’ Lanterns chocolates feature two pumpkins stacked on top of each other, both with ghoulishly carved faces.

Even though the shape idea is similar, the pumpkin design is where Ghirardelli and Reese’s Halloween offerings’ similarities stop, because there’s no peanut butter-filled Ghirardelli chocolate in sight. Instead, Ghirardelli’s new Jack O’ Lanterns come in three flavors: Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate Caramel, and Milk Chocolate Caramel Apple.

Ghirardelli’s Milk Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Caramel squares are a year-round favorite, but its limited-edition Milk Chocolate Caramel Apple flavor has become a fall staple. So, instead of offering the autumnal flavor in squares this year, the brand is embracing spooky season with its Jack O’ Lanterns.

The Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate Caramel, and Milk Chocolate Caramel Apple Ghirardelli Jack O’ Lanterns will be available in individual bags, as well as variety packs that feature all three flavors (which have already been spotted at Sam’s Club). Each bag contains individually wrapped candies, perfect for handing out to trick-or-treaters, filling your candy bowl at the Halloween party, or dotting festive charcuterie boards.

Ghirardelli’s three new Jack O’ Lanterns candies are hitting shelves nationwide now, with fans saying they’re “high-tailing it” to the store to grab them. But, just like spooky season, Ghirardelli’s shapes won’t be around for long, so you’ll want to pick up a few bags before our carved Halloween pumpkins turn into our Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.
