Pop-Tarts doesn’t need an introduction. Its iconic toaster pastries come two to a pack in a wide range of flavors, from Blue Raspberry and Frosted Cinnamon Roll to the diner-inspired Frosted Chocolatey Chip Pancake. When they were first introduced in 1964, Pop-Tarts only offered four flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Apple Currant, and Brown Sugar. The signature frosting we’ve come to associate with the brand, along with dozens of fun flavors, came later.

Now, the brand churns out new flavors like clockwork—but that reputation comes at a price. Not all flavors last forever. When a product is discontinued, fans—armed with the power of social media to get the brand’s attention—are quick to demand that their favorite varieties be brought back. Sometimes, the brand gives in. Other times, it brings a flavor back—but with a new twist. Last year, Pop-Tarts did just that with a seasonal favorite, and it must’ve been a hit because the brand is bringing it back this year.

Frosted Marshmallow Hot Cocoa Pop-Tarts Are Back

Sometime in the 2010s, Pop-Tarts released a limited-time Frosted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate flavor, featuring a chocolate pastry packed with a creamy marshmallow filling and topped with sweet frosting and small chocolate bits. When the brand reintroduced the flavor in 2024, the updated version eliminated the chocolate bits for a smooth vanilla frosting and rich cocoa flavor, and fans instantly devoured it.

“Top-tier flavor, needs to be permanent,” a Redditor shared.

“They taste soo delicious! They taste just like the cocoa!” a reviewer wrote. “And it is fluffy-ish like the marshmallows inside of a hot cocoa drink! My sister even loves them! 100/10 from us.”

According to the brand, the fan-favorite flavor is making a limited-time return. So, if you’re craving something warm, gooey, and toasty to combat the weather slowly getting colder, consider grabbing a box of these seasonal treats before they disappear for good.
