This may sound ridiculous, but working in food media sometimes feels like Fergie’s line in the Black Eyed Peas song “Boom Boom Pow”: “I’m so three thousand and eight. You so two thousand and late.” Because, as most of the world is just starting to buy their Halloween candy, I’ve been eating Reese’s Mini Unwrapped Pumpkins by the fistful since August while waiting for pumpkin spice season to pass so I can finally get my hands on Chobani’s holiday Cookie Butter coffee creamer that I first tried back in February.

That’s right, I’ve waited nearly six months to get my hands on a product I love—and, it turns out, I’ll be waiting six months more for another one.

Mars, Inc. recently shared its plans for 11 new product launches in 2026, from Snickers Xtreme to an M&M’s Flavor Vote. One of the most exciting new innovations is a first-of-its-kind Twix candy that I already know I’ll be devouring next spring.

Twix is launching new Twix Bits.

Twix Plans To Launch New Twix Bits in 2026

Your movie theater candy decision just got a tad trickier as Mars is throwing its hat in the ring with new poppable, chocolate-covered cookie pieces. The new Twix Bits are similar to Whoppers, Maltesers, and even the discontinued Butterfinger BBs.

Twix Bits feature a cookie center with a “caramel essence” and a chocolate coating. While the bite-sized candies don’t have the same caramel flavor as the classic Twix bar, the caramel is replaced by a malt-like flavor that fans know and love from Whoppers. The added malt makes the Twix Bits extra crunchy, yet still with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Unfortunately for me, who already ate the three Twix Bits samples I was given, the new candy won’t be on shelves for quite a while. Mars plans to launch the new Twix Bits in spring 2026, where the candy will be sold in a Share Size, Treating Size, and Sharing Size.

I’m not the only one excited for the new launch, with candy fans saying they “need” the new Twix Bits and that they “look good.”

“Why [are] you teasing [us] with the Twix, man?” one fan on Instagram asked.

And I’d have to agree. Dangling the Twix Bits carrot in front of me when I can’t have them again for months is certainly a tease. Let’s just hope Mars’ “springtime” is actually January.
