Cheez-It Has a New Limited-Edition Flavor and Fans Say They ‘Want It Now’

We’ll always make space in the pantry for Cheez-Its. A handful is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up, and a box is guaranteed to be a hit at any party. And while Cheez-It Original remains our staple go-to, the brand likes to keep its lineup fresh by introducing exciting new flavors from time to time.

Last year’s Hidden Valley Ranch collab became a fast favorite, followed by a smoked cheesy flavor we didn’t know we needed. 

This year, the brand kicked things off with a new jalapeño flavor in January, and later, a taco-inspired cracker that managed to capture all the flavors of the crunchy handheld in one small orange square. 

Now, another new Cheez-It variety is headed to stores—but it’s only available for a limited time. 

Cheez-It Releases New Hot Honey Flavor

The next time you hit the snack aisle for a restock, there could be a new Cheez-It flavor waiting for you. Cheez-It Hot Honey is making its way to stores this month, combining the beloved savory snack cracker with a sweet and spicy twist.

Each cracker features white Cheddar cheese and a seasoning blend made from cayenne peppers and honey.

Cheez-It announced the launch on Instagram, writing in the post’s caption, “Cheez-It Hot Honey crackers are hitting stores later this month. Each lightly salted cracker is loaded with a burst of cheesy flavor and a spicy zing of sweet heat.”

Fans were immediately thrilled with the new offering. “I don’t want it later this month. I want it now,” demanded one user.

Another Instagrammer described the flavor as a “game changer,” while another called the drop an “iconic move.”

One person who tried the new cracker is already giving it their seal of approval. “These are great, tried them yesterday, need to keep this one around,” they wrote.

Cheez-It isn’t the only brand to get in on the hot honey trend. In 2024, Lay’s introduced Sweet and Spicy Honey Chips to its lineup, followed by Club’s hot honey Crisps. Then, earlier this year, Ritz introduced a hot honey-flavored cracker. The trendy combination has also been popular at some of our favorite drive-thrus, with KFC, Taco Bell, and Red Robin all launching “swicy” menu items.

Cheez-It Hot Honey will be available at major retailers nationwide, but only for a limited time. So when you see them on shelves, be sure to stock up.
